CONSTITUTION

1. The name of the Society is:
 
COUNCIL OF BRITISH COLUMBIA YACHT CLUBS
 
2. The purposes of the Society are:
 
(a)   To provide liaison between yacht clubs of British Columbia.
(b)   To advance the common interest of yacht clubs and recreational boaters.
(c)   To monitor legislation and make appropriate recommendations to all levels of government in connection with yachting, yacht clubs, related facilities and services.
(d)   To co-operate with governmental and other agencies for the improvement of boating safety.
(e)   To encourage the development and the preservation of yachting facilities and marine recreational areas.
