The Council tracks all Water Lease / Tenure Applications made to the provincial government, makes comment on any that would have an adverse effect on recreational boating and urges appropriate actions by the authorities. This process has allowed the Council to become the recognized voice for recreational boaters by the Ministry of Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Operations of the BC Government.
Over the years, it has had good success in eliciting changes or significant adjustments to applications, mitigating the impact on boaters.
